Proposed Table of Miasms in the Plant Kingdom

Malvales

Cacao (Theobroma cacao) as Cancer Miasm after an idea of Ruth Wittassek according to an article in Spectrum of Homeopathy No.2 / 2010, p. 74 by Andreas Richter, where he sees the following features as central for the remedy: Overachieving, pointlessly giving their best, highly ambitious, take no notice of themselves, do not feel lovable, go beyond their limits, never good enough, oppressive feelings of guilt.

Reading the features of Chocolate, given in the same article by A.Richter, it seems unlikely that the classification in the Acute Miasm describes the remedy well enough. This seems to need further study and comparison with the large proving of J.Sherr.

Cist. - Cistus canadensis has been suggested as tubercular remedy in Malvales by Dinesh Chauhan, because according to the APG taxonomy, the Cistaceae belong to Malvales instead of Violales, as in the classification used in Sankaran's Insight into Plants.
There are good indications to rather use Cistus in the Malvales instead, where up to now there was no remedy in the tubercular remedy.

Of a given plant group this table only shows those species that we could relate a certain miasm to. If you want to see all remedies of a plant family or order that are in current homeopathic use or that have recently been proved, you can go to the website www.provings.info and there to "search substances and groups", where you can chose the remedy group you are interested in.

And if you wish to see wonderful photographs of many of these plants (and many more) you can visit www.pflanzenportraits.com.
